President Biden sends him well wishes.
On Thursday, former President Bill Clinton was admitted to the University of California Irvine Medical Center’s ICU with a urinary tract infection that had spread to his bloodstream. According to a joint statement from his doctors, he was admitted to the ICU for privacy and security, not due to needing intensive care.
President Biden called the former president on Friday, and said that “he seems to be, God willing, doing well.” A statement from White House Spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said, “President Biden and President Clinton look forward to seeing each other again soon. President Biden wishes President Clinton a speedy recovery.”
